Points of interest: Medicinal plants, birds, primary and secondary mid-altitude forest.
If you are staying in the North of the island, you can access the natural Park Obô from Ponta Figo (access to Pico of São Tomé).
Many are the similarities with the access via Bom Sucesso: we will trek through palm plantations and the Shadow Forest before reaching the mid-altitude primary forest. This trail follows the path towards Pico de São Tomé up to Morro Vilela. We will encounter several plants and various birds, many of which are indigenous; with a little luck, monkeys and the black Snake (Naja melanoleuca) could be spotted. When heading back we will discover the enchanting Angolar Waterfall hidden in a cliff amongst the tunnels in the channel of the Rio Contador hydroelectric power station.
